Noor's Journey - Following Your Dream

Our guest speaker will be Noor Ra’fat who has been a familiar face on CHEX TV for a number of years. She is originally from Egypt but lived most of her life in Saudi Arabia, and for a number of years she has been a reporter, feature journalist and a TV anchor. She followed her dreams and goals and came to Canada to attend post-secondary school, earned a broadcast journalism diploma from Durham College and completed an honours degree in media studies at Trent University. For the past 3 years she has been working at Global News Toronto as a video journalist and anchor. She is an active volunteer, including for combatting homelessness and sexual violence. She enjoys watching movies, skateboarding going to the beach and the gym. Who knows where her dreams will take her in the future, but her message to everyone is never give up on your dreams or goals in life.

Please Note: Our meetings aren’t open to the general public, so attendance is lim ited to visiting Rotarians, invited guests of a member, the guest of the speaker, or those who have been invited by our membership chair.
